Duane A. Stephens, CPA (pictured with wife Jeri Nell and daughter Shelby Anne) began practice as a sole practitioner in Independence, Missouri in 2007. He has been associated with medium-sized CPA firms in Illinois and Missouri since 1976, when he graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and fulfilled the requirements to be designated a Certified Public Accountant.

Duane's experience includes income tax preparation and review for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates, and tax planning, consultation, research and representation before taxing authorities in connection with examinations of tax returns for individuals and businesses. Also, Duane has performed accounting and consulting as preliminary services for income tax preparation for individuals and businesses.

Duane is licensed to practice as a CPA in Missouri, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
